Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Summary of key points
This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, how GUC Tech Inc. ("GUC Tech", "we", "us") handles your personal information when you visit guctech.ca, contact us, or use an app we publish. In short: we collect only what you give us or what's needed to provide our services, we don't sell your information, and you can access, correct, or delete it by contacting us. The sections below add detail. For a fuller, formal version, see our Data Privacy Policy.
2. What information do we collect?
We collect personal information you provide voluntarily — such as your name and email address when you contact us or create an account in one of our apps. If you make a purchase in one of our apps, that purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store; we don't collect or store your payment card details, but we receive the confirmation and receipt information needed to deliver what you bought. We do not collect sensitive personal information.
3. How do we process your information?
We use your information to respond to you and provide the services or apps you request; to create and manage app accounts and support purchases; to operate, secure, and improve our website, apps, and services; and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. We only send you marketing messages if you've asked to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
4. When and with whom do we share your information?
We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — currently Cloudflare (hosting and email), Apple (App Store distribution and payments), and Google Fonts (typography) — and where required by law or to protect our legal rights. If GUC Tech is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. How long do we keep your information?
We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, or as required for legal, accounting, or business reasons. Business correspondence is kept while it remains relevant; after that, we securely delete or anonymize it.
6. How do we keep your information safe?
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
7. Do we collect information from minors?
No. Our website, apps, and services are not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it promptly.
8. What are your privacy rights?
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, or withdraw consent and ask us to delete information we no longer need. Contact us at [email protected]. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
9. Controls for Do-Not-Track features
Our website doesn't currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as there's no finalized standard for them. If that changes, we'll update this policy.
10. Do we make updates to this policy?
Yes. We may update this policy from time to time and will change the "last updated" date above. Where changes are material, we'll make that clear.
11. How can you contact us?
For questions or requests about this policy, email [email protected]. For general enquiries, email [email protected] or call +1 416 880 4603. You can also write to us at GUC Tech Inc., 20 West St, Brampton, Ontario L6X 1V7, Canada.
12. How can you review, update, or delete your information?
Email [email protected] to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you.
